Perfect length!
The #10 blade is just too close a trim for my one dog so I wanted his coat to be about 1/2 inch long all around. I was told by a professional groomer that the #3 is the longest blade that is available. When I saw this one and that it left a 1/2 inch finished cut I knew this was just what I needed. It is perfect. It works with the detachable head trimmers. It sure beats having to use the additional attachment combs on the standard #10 blade. The long combs on the attachments interfere with getting a close and smooth cut. This blade eliminates having to use the attachments and it didn't get hot at all even after trimming for 20 minutes.
